I remember watching "Death Becomes Her" as a child. I always had a memory of the movie, but I couldn't remember its name or anything. I was even starting to wonder if I had just imagined it all. Last month, I stumbled across it by mistake and the memories came flooding back lol.

Take me back to July 31, 1992

Let's go back to the nineties.

The date is July 31, 1992, and it's a Friday. Babies who are born today will have the star sign Leo. Many people have "that Friday feeling" and are looking forward to the weekend.

The summer of 1992 is in full swing. The weather is warm, and the evenings are brighter than usual. Most schools and colleges are now finished until August or September. In America, the song "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-A-Lot is at the top of the singles charts, while "Ain't No Doubt" by Jimmy Nail is the number-one song in the UK. George W. Bush Snr. is the President of the United States, and the movie Death Becomes Her is at the top of the box office.

John Major is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. On television, people are watching popular shows such as "Only Fools and Horses", "Star Trek: The Next Generation", "Family Matters", and "Melrose Place". Texting is not a thing yet. Instead, people are using landline phones and pagers. Furthermore, most people have never heard of the Internet.

A civil war is taking place in the African country of Rwanda. It's 1992, so radio stations are being dominated by the likes of Kris Kross, Boyz II Men, Whitney Houston, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Right Said Fred, Snap! and Nirvana. In fashion, many of the trends from the late 1980s are still in vogue. Colored tights, denim overalls, leotards, flannel shirts, and shoulder pads are all fashionable at the moment. Grunge fashion has also become mainstream, popularizing band t-shirts, ripped jeans, mom jeans, and Doc Martens.

A war is continuing to rage in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The 1992 Summer Olympics are being held in Barcelona, Spain. In music news, Ice-T's heavy metal band "Body Count" have decided to pull the controversial song "Cop Killer" from their debut album. The song, which contains lyrics about shooting police officers, has been heavily criticized by political figures such as President George H. W. Bush and Vice President Dan Quayle.

If you were to travel back to this day, notable figures such as Anthony Perkins, Chuck Connors, Audrey Hepburn, and Thurgood Marshall would all still be alive. People are playing video games such as "The Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants", "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past", "Civilization", and "Road Rash II". Kids and teenagers are watching TV shows such as "Thomas the Tank Engine", "Saved by the Bell", "Blossom", and "Dinosaurs".

Children are playing with toys such as Cabbage Patch Kids, Jenga, Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles figures, and Nerf Blaster.
