Take me back to November 20, 2002

Let's take a walk down memory lane.

It is Wednesday, November 20, 2002. Babies who are born today will have the star sign Scorpio. It is "Hump Day", so many are beginning to think about the weekend ahead.

It's November, so the evenings are getting darker and the days are getting colder. In America, the song "Lose Yourself" by Eminem is at the top of the singles charts, while "Dirrty" by Christina Aguilera is the number-one song in the UK. George W. Bush Jnr. is the President of the United States, and the movie Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is at the top of the box office.

Tony Blair is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. In technology news, more and more people are beginning to gain access to the Internet. Internet speeds are increasing and MP3 sharing is beginning to threaten the existence of music stores. People are using a software program called LimeWire to share music, software, and videos. Unfortunately, it is also a haven for computer viruses.

It's 2002, so the music charts are being dominated by the likes of Ashanti, Nickelback, Nelly, Eminem, Usher, Blu Cantrell, The Calling, Linkin Park and Jennifer Lopez. A rock music genre called "Emo" is beginning to become more and more mainstream. If you were to travel back to this day, notable figures such as Lana Clarkson, Curt Hennig, Fred Rogers, and Camoflauge would all still be alive.

On TV, people are watching popular shows such as "Sex and the City", "The Sopranos", "Boston Public", and "Fear Factor". Meanwhile, gamers are playing titles such as "Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies", "Kingdom Hearts", "Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2", and "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell". Kids and teenagers are watching TV shows such as "The Simpsons", "Rugrats", "Friends", and "Clifford the Big Red Dog".

Popular toys at the moment include Poo-Chi (robot dog), My First LeapPad, Pixter drawing tablet, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game.
