Discussion about this date:
"Is This the Way to Amarillo" brings me back to the summer of 2005. I was 18 years old and had just graduated from high school. I started my first full-time job in a warehouse that June. The first morning, I had to sit in the canteen and wait for the boss arrive.
While I was waiting, I saw that someone had printed off the lyrics to the song and hung it on the wall. It was in reference to another employee loving the song or something. Although I can't remember the joke, I do remember that it was a warm, sunny day. It is frightening to think that this was all nearly two decades ago because it feels like a blip.
