Take me back to April 7, 2004

Let's take a stroll down memory lane.

The date is April 7, 2004, and it's a Wednesday. Anyone born today will have the star sign Aries. It is "Hump Day", so many are beginning to think about the weekend ahead.

The summer of 2004 is drawing closer and temperatures have started to rise. In America, the song "Yeah" by Usher is at the top of the singles charts, while "5 Colours In Her Hair" by McFly is the number-one song in the UK. George W. Bush Jnr. is the President of the United States, and the movie Hellboy is at the top of the box office.

Tony Blair is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. On television, people are watching popular shows such as "The Sopranos", "Malcolm in the Middle", "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", and "The O.C.". In technology news, more and more people are beginning to gain access to the Internet. Internet speeds are increasing and MP3 sharing is beginning to threaten the existence of music stores.

People are using a software program called LimeWire to share music, software, and videos. Unfortunately, it is also a haven for computer viruses. Smartphones don't exist yet. There are no Androids or iPhones. Cameras on phones are quickly becoming the norm. However, the photographs that they take are still lacking in quality.

Internet users are using MSN Messenger and AIM to chat with each other online. A flash animation of badgers singing "badger, badger, badger" has become a viral hit on the Internet. The animation, which loops indefinitely, was published by British animator Jonti Picking in September 2003. It's 2004, so the music charts are being dominated by the likes of Usher, Alicia Keys, Maroon 5, OutKast, Mario Winans, the Terror Squad and Ciara.

If you were to travel back to this day, notable figures such as Pat Tillman, Ronald Reagan, Ray Charles, and Marlon Brando would all still be alive. People are playing video games such as "Championship Manager 4", "Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne", "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic", and "Tony Hawk's Underground". Kids and teenagers are watching TV shows such as "7th Heaven", "Malcolm in the Middle", "Kim Possible", and "Teen Titans".

Children are playing with toys such as LEGO Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets, Barbie B-Book Laptop, Lamaze Octotunes, and Justice League Figures.
