I remember watching Gargoyles as a child. I had forgotten that the show existed until recently when I saw it in a nostalgia video. There were certain parts that freaked me out 😅

Take me back to October 24, 1994

Let's take a walk down memory lane.

It is Monday, October 24, 1994. Babies who are born today will have the star sign Scorpio. The weekend has just passed, so some people are feeling a bit down. Others are tired after partying too much.

The summer is long gone. Temperatures have become much cooler, and the evenings are beginning to get darker. There is a fresh, earthy scent in the air, and fallen leaves have carpeted driveways, lawns, pathways, and sidewalks. Halloween 1994 is quickly approaching and stores are selling costumes and decorations.

In America, the song "I'll Make Love To You" by Boyz II Men is at the top of the singles charts, while "Sure" by Take That is the number-one song in the UK. Bill Clinton is the President of the United States, and the movie Pulp Fiction is at the top of the box office. John Major is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, in technology news, a relatively new storage format called the CD is beginning to outpace the regular cassette tape in music sales. The disc-based format gives listeners the ability to skip between songs instead of having to manually rewind and forward. A new form of communication called "text messaging" is starting to become more widespread. However, it can only be done if both the sender and the receiver are on the same cell network. Meanwhile, a global system called "the Internet" is also starting to take off. Each day, more and more people are learning how to send emails and browse "websites" on the World Wide Web by connecting their IBM computers to noisy dial-up modems.

In fashion, "grunge" clothing has fallen out of favor, and women are beginning to wear form-fitting outfits such as slip dresses and pencil skirts. Movies such as Clueless and The Craft have popularized the "sexy schoolgirl" look. It's 1994, so radio stations are being dominated by the likes of All-4-One, Boyz II Men, R. Kelly, Céline Dion, Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, Meat Loaf, Bon Jovi, Wet Wet Wet, Rednex and Mariah Carey. In Europe, a war is continuing to rage in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In gaming news, SEGA have released the video game "Sonic & Knuckles". On television, a new animated series called "Gargoyles" has been broadcasted for the first time. If you were to travel back to this day, notable figures such as Richey Edwards, Eazy E, Selena, and Bob Ross would all still be alive.

On TV, people are watching popular shows such as "Family Matters", "Home Improvement", "Babylon 5", and "Party of Five". Meanwhile, gamers are playing titles such as "Mortal Kombat II", "Gunstar Heroes", "Disney's Aladdin", and "Sonic the Hedgehog 3". Kids and teenagers are watching TV shows such as "Full House", "Mr. Bean", "Taz-Mania", and "Boy Meets World".

Popular toys at the moment include Super Soaker (water gun), Nerf Blaster, Action Man, and Dear Diary.
