Take me back to February 10, 2006

Let's take a stroll down memory lane.

It is Friday, February 10, 2006. Anyone born today will have the star sign Aquarius. People have "that Friday feeling" and are excited for the weekend.

Valentine's Day is just around the corner. In America, the song "Check On It" by Beyonce is at the top of the singles charts, while "Nasty Girl" by The Notorious B.I.G. is the number-one song in the UK. George W. Bush Jnr. is the President of the United States, and the movie The Pink Panther (2006) is at the top of the box office.

Tony Blair is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. People are using a software program called LimeWire to share music, software, and videos. Unfortunately, it is also a haven for computer viruses. Smartphones don't exist yet. There are no Androids or iPhones.

Internet users are using MSN Messenger and AIM to chat with each other online. Cameras on phones have now become the norm. Furthermore, the quality of these cameras is continuing to increase with each new phone release. We are now entering an age where any event can be instantly photographed or recorded. Practically every teenager and adult has a MySpace or Bebo account.

It's 2006, so the music charts are being dominated by the likes of Daniel Powter, Sean Paul, Nelly Furtado, James Blunt, Gnarls Barkley, Shakira and Natasha Bedingfield. If you were to travel back to this day, notable figures such as Proof, Big Hawk, Charles Haughey, and Steve Irwin would all still be alive. On TV, people are watching popular shows such as "7th Heaven", "King of the Hill", "Smallville", and "America's Next Top Model".

Meanwhile, gamers are playing titles such as "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas", "Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30", "Fahrenheit", and "F.E.A.R.". Kids and teenagers are watching TV shows such as "Ed, Edd n Eddy", "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County", "The Backyardigans", and "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody". Popular toys at the moment include VideoNow (portable player), Cosmolight Alien Eggs, K'NEX Big Air Ball Tower, and the Xbox 360.
