2Pac became famous 33 years ago after he released his debut album "2Pacalypse Now".
The album, which was released on November 12, 1991, contained songs such as "Trapped", "If My Homie Calls" and "Brenda's Got a Baby".
The album reached #13 on the RnB and hip hop charts in the United States.
A couple of months later, in May of 1992, the song "If My Homie Calls" reached number three on the US rap charts.
Although Tupac Shakur did start his career with the hip hop group Digital Underground in January of 1991, it wasn't until November of that year that he made his breakthrough as a solo artist.
Following the success of his first album, he went on to release "Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z..."
