Big Boss

Snake Eater was one of the best games ever. The boss fights were cool, especially the one against "The End"—the old dude with a sniper rifle lol.

SAER

Snake Eater is one of the best video games that I have ever played. I have a memory of my old school friend showing me images of the game while we were standing in the magazine section of a local bookshop. Back then, you got most of your gaming news, reviews, guides, and cheat codes from video game magazines! Sometimes, they'd come with special books or CDs.

Take me back to November 17, 2004

Let's take a walk down memory lane.

The date is November 17, 2004, and it's a Wednesday. Babies who are born today will have the star sign Scorpio. It is "Hump Day", so many are beginning to think about the weekend ahead.

It's November, so the evenings are getting darker and the days are getting colder. In America, the song "My Boo" by Usher & Alicia Keys is at the top of the singles charts, while "Vertigo" by U2 is the number-one song in the UK. George W. Bush Jnr. is the President of the United States, and the movie The Incredibles is at the top of the box office.

Tony Blair is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. On television, people are watching popular shows such as "Last of the Summer Wine", "Stargate SG-1", "The Shield", and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition". In technology news, more and more people are beginning to gain access to the Internet. Internet speeds are increasing and MP3 sharing is beginning to threaten the existence of music stores.

People are using a software program called LimeWire to share music, software, and videos. Unfortunately, it is also a haven for computer viruses. Smartphones don't exist yet. There are no Androids or iPhones. Cameras on phones are quickly becoming the norm. However, the photographs that they take are still lacking in quality.

Internet users are using MSN Messenger and AIM to chat with each other online. It's 2004, so the music charts are being dominated by the likes of Usher, Alicia Keys, Maroon 5, OutKast, Mario Winans, the Terror Squad and Ciara. If you were to travel back to this day, notable figures such as Dimebag Darrell, Lamont Bentley, Johnnie Cochran, and Pope John Paul II would all still be alive.

People are playing video games such as "Project Gotham Racing 2", "RollerCoaster Tycoon 3", "Football Manager 2005", and "Half-Life 2". Children and teenagers are watching television shows such as "The Powerpuff Girls", "Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids", "Malcolm in the Middle", and "LazyTown". Children are playing with toys such as Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, Beyblades (spinning top toys), LEGO Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets, and V. Smile TV Learning System.
