This stirred up so many memories for me. "I Kissed a Girl" was released around the same time that I was about to finish my second year in college. For some reason, I associate it with standing outside of a mall with my boyfriend at the time. It was a couple of days before I was supposed to return home for the summer. That was the last time I lived in that city. 14 years ago... Life goes by so quickly.

This is due to the popularity of new online streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu.

It's 2008, so the music charts are filled with artists such as Flo Rida, Katy Perry, Rihanna and T.I. Gaming fans are currently excited about the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto IV, which will be based on the life of Eastern European war veteran Niko Bellic in Liberty City. If you were to travel back to this day, notable figures such as George Carlin, Bernie Mac, John Costelloe and Test would all be still alive.

On TV, people are watching popular shows such as "The Royle Family", "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition", "The Hills" and "Dexter". Meanwhile, gamers are playing titles such as "Pokémon Diamond Version", "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock", "WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008" and "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2". Kids and teenagers are watching TV shows such as "Avatar: The Last Airbender", "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody", "Johnny Test" and "Ben 10".
