When was the Jeremy Kyle Show cancelled?

The Jeremy Kyle Show was cancelled more than 4 years ago.

ITV's chief executive, Carolyn McCall, made the announcement on May 14, 2019. However, there had been reports about the show's suspension in the lead-up to her statement.

The announcement came following the suicide of Steve Dymond. Steve had appeared on the talk show one week prior.

During his appearance, he was accused of cheating on his partner. After he failed a lie detector test, the show's host, Jeremy Kyle, humiliated him and accused him of being a liar.

This is despite the fact that polygraph tests are considered to be unreliable.

Up until it's cancellation, the show had been on air for nearly 14 years. During its run, it received criticism for turning people's personal issues into a public spectacle.
